Following up on the work completed by the University of Hawai‘i Community Design Center, the project team began the environmental review process in December 2020.

An environmental impact statement (EIS) will be prepared for the project. An environmental impact statement preparation notice (EISPN) was published by the Office of Environmental Quality and Control (OEQC) on December 8, 2020 in The Environmental Notice.

The original comment deadline was January 7, 2021, but based on a request from the Wahiawā Neighborhood Board, the deadline is being extended until February 7, 2021.

The scoping meeting for the EISPN was held on Thursday, December 17, 2020. The powerpoint presentation from that meeting is provided below in a .pdf file. The video recording from that scoping meeting is also embedded below.
